These are StagSpin catalogue assumptions for one person sharing accommodation for two nights: return flights, two hotel nights, one activity and two nightlife allowances. They are not current quotes or measured market averages. Meals, airport transfers, baggage, insurance, local taxes and refundable deposits are excluded. Replace each assumption with a quote for your dates before collecting money. Supplier prices and group availability may differ substantially.
Which European stag destinations are cheapest?
Of these six, Riga and Kraków have the lowest subtotal in our planning model. That is a reason to get quotes, not evidence that either will be cheapest for your dates. One expensive flight or a shortage of suitable rooms can reverse the order.
Treat £300, £400 or £500 as your total spending limit, then subtract food, transfers and other extras before setting the planner budget. For example, a £400 ceiling with £80 reserved for extras leaves £320 for the flight, accommodation, activity and nightlife plan. The £80 is an example allowance, not a destination price estimate.
Choose a destination in three decisions
- Agree the lowest comfortable budget in the group. Ask for the amount each person can actually pay, including travel to the UK airport and spending money.
- Choose two workable weekends and check arrival and departure times. A low fare that gives you only one usable evening may be worse value than a slightly higher fare.
- Price two cities for the full headcount. Get the accommodation's group policy, room arrangement and deposit conditions before buying non-refundable flights.
For 10 or more people, logistics can decide the winner
Compare the combined room cost, not the cheapest double room you can find. Agree who shares, whether anyone needs a single room and whether the hotel accepts your group. A central base can be worth paying more for if it cuts repeated taxi journeys.
Check activity capacity before promising everyone a simultaneous start. XL Riga's tourism listing specifies up to eight karts at once, so a group of twelve would need a heat arrangement. Ask the operator for the total duration and a group quote.
If flights need separate searches for a large group, fares and availability can differ between batches. Check the full group's options before anyone starts paying; StagSpin labels the batches when there are more than nine adults.
A two-night weekend that leaves room to enjoy it
- Friday: allow for arrival delays, check in and meet for a reserved dinner. Keep the first evening flexible rather than attaching a prepaid activity to the flight arrival.
- Saturday: book one headline activity after breakfast, leave a free afternoon and agree an evening meeting point. Confirm the venue accepts your headcount and occasion.
- Sunday: breakfast, check-out and the airport journey. Work backwards from the flight time before adding any last activity.
When a UK stag do makes more sense
If passports, flight schedules or airport travel eat up the weekend, compare a UK option before committing abroad. Keep the same full-cost comparison: rail or driving, rooms, activity, food and nights out. A lower overseas hotel price does not automatically offset getting there.
